When I was younger, I loved the Powerpuff Girls and I too danced to “Buttercup (I’m a Super Girl)” by the Japanese girl band Shonen Knife on our kitchen table! My dad spent two weeks making an elaborate Halloween costume of Blossom when I was in PreK because I identified with Blossom; my mom liked Buttercup because she’s sarcastic (both my mom and Buttercup) and my best friend liked Bubbles. I drew myself as the 4th PPG when I was 5! Can you spot the differences between young Chapel’s kitchen and the present-day kitchen? Check in next Friday for the answers!

(keeping Darth Vader voice going) ah, the deep geekdom has already planted it's seed inside your mind. Harry Potter's story, however good it maybe, is now done. it's story is told. It has come to it's end.

It. Will. Fade. Away.

It will not vanish, but it can not keep you forever HPPA. All of us here are more than willing to lead you to greener geekdom pastures.

Sense you are fixated on "Harry"s i would point you toward "The Dresden Files" of an upgraded Harry that Potter can never match. you need to read "dead beat" to understand why. >)

Harry Potter will never end. Never. It has far too large of a fan base and I am the Harry generation, I know I for one will pass it on to the next. And I'm rereading it for a fourth time, I'm on Deathly Hallows, actually. My fourth time in two years - once in 2010, twice in 2011, and once this year. So no, I don't think it'll die anytime soon. One should never outgrow dancing on the table (or other home-made stage) no matter what the age may be! Heck, I spend 4-6 months making elaborate costumes just so I can strut my stuff at the local renaissance faires every year, it's much the same thing, I think.

Renaissance Faires are different, I think...I do the same with the Dickens Faire in San Francisco, which I attend every year with my best friend!

Ah yes, Peanuts is a classic comic. I liked that ol' strip. But some time ago i stumbled across a hybrid "The Touhou Project" and Peanuts. It got me intrested all over again. I love Touhou and i recommend everyone to try it out.

heck, Touhou might be the one game Fred CAN'T beat Chapel at!

good god, i just remembered when PPG was brand new. so long ago.... ><

However, little chapel is cute, but i also find Little Emma more so! The fact that Miss Emma's Dad is "One of us!" in such that he is so good in hand making cosplay costumes! (offers Mr. Capps a Bro-Fist Fist bump)

That reminds me so much of me when I was four. The only difference was I was the only kid my age who took one look at Barney and hated it!

It's a shame PPG went off air, at least where I live anyway.

Also, good luck on your comic class! I'm sure you'll do fine.

I found out that PPG was picked up by an anime company and was turned into a long running show over in Japan. They changed and upgraded the art work, but it seems to remained intact other wise. I guess you can still find more of it out there.

I also hated Barney! Powerpuff girls was an excellent replacement. And yes, it did go off the air, sadly...Thank you, I'm looking forward to the class!

Ah, where be the fun in the traditional concept of "growing up." I think there is a further difference between maturity and "growing up." You can still derive pleasure from childish pursuits and simple joys while being perfectly capable of being responsible and "mature."
