I thought it was high time we had another strip of Gaga fun! This costume was a joy to color. I certainly abused my pack of Photoshop sparkle brushes on this one, as you can probably tell. I have a personal philosophy that sparkles instantly make anything better, and Chapel’s Gaga homages are no exception. It was hard to find an iconic Gaga costume I hadn’t drawn yet (that wasn’t made of meat) but I really love this one. I also chose this costume because the blue-ish silver color palette would actually fit in really well at a wedding, don’t you think?
I don’t know about you guys, but I would love to attend one of these wedding shindigs Chapel goes too. I mean, a wedding where one of the guests shows up in a Gaga costume? Sign. Me. UP.
Plain black dress, beige nightgown, or Lady Gaga -- and nothing inbetween. Chapel does nothing by halves, does she?
It's not complex at all, and I don't mind! What I did was I went to myscriptfont[dot]com. They have a chart that you download and fill out with your handwriting, and then they turn it into a font for free! It's VERY useful, and I'm really happy with the results! :D
Hey Emma, does Chapel have a brother or something? In Jenga War Strategy, there's a picture of Chapel's family. It's not too clear, but I think there is another boy in the picture.
Just wondering.......
WOW, you're such an eagle eyed reader! I'm very flattered! And it was a good call, too. You're right! Chapel does have a brother! He'll be introduced later though...SPOILERS!
I've seen your illustrations in Stone Soup, because I have a subscription to it, and since you can't illustrate for them anymore, I saw somewhere in the front of one of the magazines that you had a website, so I decided to take a look. It's such a cool website!!!!
YEP, you called it! That's Chapel's nightgown. I've shown it before on one of the Chapel greeting cards, but this is the first time it's appeared in the comic!
Hey Emma, have you ever submitted to Cricket or Cicada? I'm planning on submitting to one or both of them soon, as well as Creative Kids and/or Skipping Stones. They all look like great magazines!
I subscribe to both magazines, but haven't submitted to either yet! But definitely submit to Creative Kids and Skipping Stones, I've been published in both a few times and they're GREAT!
i maybe a man, but there is one thing i have learned about women going to weddings (and who are not the bride themselves). NEVER try to out shine the bride. NEVER. the wedding is about the bride, not you.
Hahaha, that certainly does seem to be the case. Perhaps if Chapel were much older that outfit would be a problem, but only a she-demon bride would have an issue with a preteen being dressed to the nines. :)
WAHHH I wake up and find you guys are having this awesome conversation! :D And I don't think the bride should have a problem with how Chapel's dressed -- I mean, Chapel's family's probably used to it by now, right? But who knows, maybe she's a Bridezilla...
Well, I don't know...... it is the BRIDE'S day...... just be careful, Chapel. You wouldn't want the bride to throw a shoe at you for stealing the attention.
Yes it was Harsh, but it is also the truth of my thoughts about it. I will not lie. Having survived the last three decades of pop and rock music ALONE has allowed me to see who really has talent from those who just being pushed by the "industry". Gaga is one those who are being pushed. She might have a good heart, but I think she is also being controlled into being what she is now just to pull attenchion to herself.
oh, and you have NOT heard the weirdest music yet. TRUST me on this.
Chapel were leaving for your cousins wedding in 30 minutes, Get Dressed. But Mom I only have identical black dresses Well I dontt know. Accessorize. tastefully. Accessorize hmmmm. that isnt my definition of Accessorize. tastefully. Please Mom! You disprespect the Haus of Gaga! Lady Gaga Dresses
