I feel badly for Chapel’s mom in this strip. I imagine she puts up with a lot, not to mention staggering hat bills.

My cousins used to have an albino hedgehog.

Oh wow, albino hedgehogs are adorable! I'm envious!

P.S. Say hello to Rupert for me!

Well, there are hedgehogs in the US too!

Wow... are hedgehogs really that demanding?
Clockwork Wombat 9/26/12 reply
Not really, Chapel's just going overboard.

I guess your dad was not allergic to hedgehogs.
Dr. Taxil Necrobane 11/7/11 reply
Well, um, no. This didn't happen to me, it's all fictional. I don't have a hedgehog, and Chapel's dad doesn't have allergies.
Emma 11/7/11 reply
My boyfriend has allergies, so the only pet I could get him to agree to was a hedger. Hedgehogs are hypoallergenic!

"The Elegance of the Hedgehog" is one of my favorite books. :)
Delaney 10/21/11 reply
I've actually only read the first quarter of the book...I really should finish it! I picked it up at summer camp, and when camp ended I forgot about it for the most part.
