Since Chapel got Rupert when Barnaby was away at college, I like the idea of Barnaby and Rupert having secret bonding moments, like I’ve shown before in “Hedgie Night Fever.” I also wanted to have an “elephant in the room” in the last panel, where Barnaby is clearly using Chapel’s girly little-kid bike but neither of them comment on it.

I’ve planned the layout of all the rooms in the Smith family home, and I like to slowly reveal how they all connect to each other! Here, you can see how the main hallway connects to the dining room and then leads out to the driveway, which I haven’t shown before. I hope you guys enjoy finding all the little connections in Chapel’s world as much as I like revealing them!
