Uhm... Carey Mulligan's character's name is SALLY Sparrow, not Sophie. You should listen to Chameleon Circuit - four guys from YouTube got together and wrote songs about Doctor Who.
7/14/12 responder
They're stuff is amazing, truly!
8/18/12 responder
I just looked that up. It's the most amazing thing ever. Thank you :)
7/17/12 responder
I already know Chameleon Circuit, I've listened to their songs for ages! Oh, whoops, thanks for pointing out that mistake -- everyone makes errors sometimes...
7/22/12 responder

Barnaby has a Doctor Who scarf? Amazingness at every turn. Blink was the episode that stopped my best friend from watching Doctor Who. It's funny cause thats the only one she had ever seen.
CJ 7/13/12 responder
I love Blink! It's a shame it scared your friend, though...
7/17/12 responder
Yeah, and now she's on Season 1! She hates Chris Eccleson though ( which i completely am ok with...)
8/18/12 responder

DOCTOR WHO!!!!
Rose k. 7/3/12 responder
AND an opinion I can completely agree with regarding Steven Moffat!

He USED to be one of the all-time finest Doctor Who writers (including all 26 seasons of the original run), but now... when he's good, he's still amazing, but when he's bad (which is FAR more often)... he's crap.

That whole River Song thing? Ugh.
Totz the Plaid 7/5/12 responder
By the way, on the off-chance anyone didn't know, the classic and new series are all canon (as much as I wish stuff like that whole River Song story arc wasn't... [I mean, there are still great stories connected to it, like all the stuff with the Silence in "The Impossible Astronaut"/"Day of the Moon" is fantastic, as is 95% of the second Weeping Angels story, etc. but that stuff feels tainted now...]).
Totz the Plaid 7/5/12 responder
Yes, I know what you mean...
7/22/12 responder
Gah? I love River Song/ Melody Pond. Truly. It's so much sadder knowing she has to go.
CJ 7/13/12 responder
I like the character, but the plotlines Moffat set her up with don't make too much sense in my opinion...
7/22/12 responder
Yes, I agree! The plotlines have gone off the handle...
7/22/12 responder
YES!!!
7/22/12 responder

This comic is amazing! I just found it and can't believe how a girl my age can do this. Great work and keep it up!
6/7/12 responder
Ah I'm sorry but I don't really understand...Ginny Weasley fan, you've been reading Chapel for ages!
6/7/12 responder
Must be a different one...
6/8/12 responder
I'm so sorry! I told my friend about Chapel Chronicles and she said it sounded amazing and I let her comment on my computer. We were both really distracted at that time, so.... Sorry if I confused you!!!!
6/11/12 responder
I mean distracted in the sense that she meant NEAR my age...
6/11/12 responder

IT'S MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL EVERYBODY! CELEBRATE!!
because after I get home today I'm gonna start rereading harry potter. AGAIN!
6/7/12 responder
That's awesome! Good luck to you on your Harry Potter books!
6/7/12 responder
Yes, let's hope she gets through them!
6/7/12 responder
ALREADY DONE SORCERER'S STONE OH YEAHHH
BECAUSE HARRY POTTER PWNS ALLLLLLLLLLLL
6/7/12 responder
THAT was fast! O_o

Btw, Harry Potter can never best Harry Dresden. Never. (go read "The Dresden Files" book serirs when you're done)
6/7/12 responder
NO.
HARRY
FREAKIN'
POTTER
PWNS
ALLLLLLL.
(AVPS reference FTWWWWW)
6/7/12 responder
Harry Dresden does not need a wand to cast magic. and if you read the books he's in (granted it is MUCH more adult than Potter's books are) you would agree with me. all the ones that are out are in paper back and in book stores now, so finding them shouldn't be too hard.
6/7/12 responder
I know that HP PWNS ALL, but you really should read the Mysterious Benedict Society! The chapter were so good that I had a hard time NOT peeking at the very last part of each chapter!
6/8/12 responder
I LOVE MBS!!!! I actually wrote to Trenton Lee Stewart a couple of years ago and aked him to sign my copy of The Prisoner's Dilemma. HE DID!!! :DDD And I also got back this pre-typed letter answering fan questions, but that was still awesome because he signed that too XDDDD
6/8/12 responder
Wow, that's amazing!
7/22/12 responder
Mysterious Benedict Society is so great, I adored that series! It's so clever and well-written, too...
7/22/12 responder
No offense you two but your argument is getting quite funny... ; )
6/11/12 responder
I read/watched a little of the Dresden Files, and I wasn't too crazy about it...but to each his own, I suppose. :)
7/22/12 responder
YUP
6/11/12 responder
And also out of interest - has anyone here read Watership Down?
6/11/12 responder
oh the nostalga of getting out of school for the summer....

good memories then.

anyway, reading is good H.P.P.A. but don't veg out too much this summer, ok? ;-)
6/7/12 responder
What's HPPA?
6/7/12 responder
you my good dear. I just used your first letters of your handle for short hand instead of typeing the whole thing out. ><
6/7/12 responder
oh my god i feel so dumb now XD
6/7/12 responder
No, no, you're fine!
6/8/12 responder
Really don't... My nickname is pretty long too. And it was abbreviated as well by Dr. Taxil...
6/11/12 responder
Happy last day of school to you! I get out tomorrow! What are your summer plans?
6/7/12 responder
I'm vacationing in Rehoboth Beach next week! Sometime I'm going to Florida as I do every year...I'm doing a music camp, and other assorted stuff! YAY!
6/7/12 responder
Wow, that sounds so cool! My only summer plans are getting a dog and spending a few days in Sea Ranch with my best friend.
6/7/12 responder
Woah woah woah...GETTING A DOG?? that's pretty big!
6/8/12 responder
My gosh you guys are SO LUCKY
6/7/12 responder
Do you not get out of school for a while?
6/7/12 responder
No....... TWO MORE WEEKS.......
6/12/12 responder
YOU GET OUT OF SCHOOL ON JUNE 7!?!??!?!???!
6/11/12 responder

The lights are in the shape of the crack in time and space.
6/3/12 responder
Also from doctor who, right?
6/3/12 responder
Yes
6/4/12 responder
This is an awesomely obscure Easter egg.
6/5/12 responder
I didn't actually mean it intentionally! It is a very cool connection, though!
6/7/12 responder
You make awesome stuff by accident Miss Emma, that shows the possable talent inside you.
6/7/12 responder
Wow, thank you Taxil! That's very sweet.
6/7/12 responder
Yes, it is from Doctor Who!
6/7/12 responder
Yes, it is! I hadn't realized that, though.
6/7/12 responder
Coolio!
6/8/12 responder
Wow, that actually wasn't intentional, but I'm very impressed you made that connection -- one that I hadn't even realized myself!
6/7/12 responder

Oh and is that possibly the scarf the you knitted around Barnaby's neck?
6/2/12 responder
From Dr. Who?
6/2/12 responder
Drawn in a cartoon?
6/2/12 responder
How do you mean?
6/7/12 responder
Yes, it is! It's the scarf worn by the Fourth Doctor.
6/7/12 responder
Yes, it is! It's a Doctor Who scarf. I'm not finished knitting mine, though.
6/7/12 responder
Ah, I recognized it from that newsletter you sent out, you said that you might incorporate it into a future Chapel strip!
6/8/12 responder

This could be very bad for all involved.
I love Barnaby's expression in the 3rd panel. Made me laugh SO HARD!
6/2/12 responder
Oh. Let's see:
Dr. Who picture thingy
Poster that has (something) vampires on it
Cowboy hat
Possibly the Harry Potter books on the top shelf
....And that's all I can see.
6/2/12 responder
How do you know that those are Harry Potter books?
6/2/12 responder
I think they're Dr. Who books...
I can only wish they were HP ;D
6/3/12 responder
Actually looking at it closely makes me think that you're right. I think it says "WHO" (^^)
6/3/12 responder
The vampire poster is from the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer! And the "Harry Potter books" are actually Doctor Who DVDs. There are still a couple other Easter Eggs, though.
6/7/12 responder
I'm glad you like his expression! I thought it turned out quite well!
6/7/12 responder

Are you going to do a livestream today, Emma?
6/2/12 responder
No not today, I'll announce it when I start doing them -- most likely next week once school's over for me.
6/2/12 responder
Oh. Okay!
6/2/12 responder

I love his face in the last panel :3
And I take it he's obsessed with Dr. Who?
6/2/12 responder

Aw, Chapel and Barnaby do make a rather adorable pair. :D
6/2/12 responder

wow, I totally love Barnaby's room. and I love how Chapel is just lying there... :D
awesome!
6/1/12 responder
I totally agree!
6/2/12 responder

the weeping angels are indeed creepy lol awesome
Yarin 6/1/12 responder
I'm glad you like it! And yeah, they're super creepy.
6/7/12 responder

I love Barnaby's room! And they are such cute siblings.
6/1/12 responder
I'm glad you like it! Yes, they have a very cute dynamic, don't they?
6/7/12 responder

I love the last two panel! Chapel and Barnaby look so cute together on his bed!
and yes, the bed and the bedroom is actually very nice.
Oh, and I LOVE those expressions in the last panel
LOL
6/1/12 responder
ugh. panels. not panel, panels.
6/1/12 responder
Oh & BTW is that a garden gnome in their house plant?!?
And that picture says Dr. who..
and even though you don't really see it... is that a Buffy the Vampire slayer poster behind their "word bubble(s)"?
6/1/12 responder
Yup, Barnaby has a little gnome in his plant! And you have a VERY keen eye with the Buffy poster! The picture actually says "Doctor Who Convention," with a younger Barnaby in the photo too. Still, you didn't catch all of the easter eggs!
6/1/12 responder
Oh, and the Dr. Who book!
6/1/12 responder
On the bed I mean
6/3/12 responder
It's okay, I understood what you meant!
6/1/12 responder
Your work is really improving. I really look forward to Fridays now. Keep up the great work. I totally agree about the Weeping Angels!
Devlyn 6/1/12 responder
I'm so glad you're looking forward to Friday Chapels! That's such a sweet thing to say, thank you SO much! I hope you keep reading and commenting!
6/1/12 responder
Our opinions about those panels are the same! I think they look adorable together, and I had fun drawing their expressions!
6/1/12 responder
Barnaby is still quite appealing!
6/1/12 responder
I know, specially in the 3rd panel!
:)
6/2/12 responder
I know, right? He looks so nice in his coat and scarf. (^^)
6/2/12 responder
It's certainly a good outfit for him, I think I'll have him wear that for a little while.
6/7/12 responder
Yay!
6/8/12 responder
YAYYYY!
6/8/12 responder

welp! there goes their surprise advantage over their folks!

i do like how barnaby is being drawn now. I'm seeing big improvements in your quality Miss Emma. Keep it up!

btw, do any of you watch tv like Chapel does? (while laying down in bed anyway)
6/1/12 responder
They didn't intend to have a surprise advantage, after all the hullabaloo they simply forgot that their parents had no idea what was going on.

Thank you for the compliment, you're too kind! And no, I never watch TV in bed!
6/1/12 responder
if Chapel wasn't so distracted by the good Doctor, she could have found one of the largest cardboard boxes in the house (I am sure there are plenty with her folks ordering all sorts of stuff though the mail). have Barnaby hide in the box, then tape it up and quickly decorate it like a present. after that, Chapel would drag her parents over to it, and annouce their early birthday present (or what ever hoilday that was near) then let them open the box.

SURPRISE! >)
6/2/12 responder

I love Blink!! And your right the angels are creepy.
6/1/12 responder
I agree! but i also think the pandora story line was good too. I also find the silence is even more creepy than the weeping angels.
6/1/12 responder
I haven't seen those! I stopped watching Doctor Who months ago, actually...
6/1/12 responder
WAT
Actually, don't bother watching Series 6, the silence are creepy, but the rest of the series is pretty terrible.
6/1/12 responder
Yes, that's exactly why I haven't watched it in a while...I stuck with it when it started, but as Barnaby says in the strip, the writing really lowered in quality in my opinion...I don't know! I don't have anything against people who enjoy it though!
6/1/12 responder
...... i'm a bit disapointed in that you all haven't been keeping up with the good doctor, poor writing or not. at least try to watch the 2011 christmas episode "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe".

come to think about it, even the worst writen episode is better by far than 90% of the shows being running right now on our side of the atlantic. ><
6/2/12 responder
Now that i think about it, "closing time" was also a good episode as well.
6/2/12 responder
I'm partly responsible for not watching Season 5 of Doctor Who as I didn't enjoy it and DW was something Emma and I did together as a special mom-and-daughter event every Saturday. Sadly, we've not found something to replace it.
6/3/12 responder
aww, well maybe we could offer some suggestions...
6/3/12 responder
Mrs. Marie, season 6 is up and i will suggest giving it a try. no matter how bad it may seem, a true fan will never let go of a show even after a few poor epiasodes. I sat down and watched the whole of star trek TNG, you two should be able to handle some Doctor Who.

The only other show i know of right now worth watching would be "Game of thrones". But that is on the HBO channel and it has some serious points in it that adult level content. Other than that, it is a VERY good show. one of the best i have seen in in a long time.
6/4/12 responder
I couldn't survive the loss of David Tennant.
6/14/12 responder
I think season 5 may not have been as good as most of the David Tennant seasons, but I think that it was mostly the writing. I've found season 6 to be my favorite season of doctor who so far. I don't think I've liked anyone new in the doctor who shows for at least their first 3-5 episodes, but as time went on I warmed up to each of the character changes.
blaidd gwael 7/1/12 responder
They are! In my opinion, though, Moffat messed them up after "Blink"...
