I KNOW. Every time, work calls, work sends an email, work instamessages, work does SOMETHING to distract my parents and throw everything off track. The problem nowadays is that people that work have to be on call ALL THE TIME. This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING.
Oh wow.
Once my friend kept asking me what I was getting her for Christmas. When I kept saying 'you'll see' she got tired out.
I like what you did with the colour here!
HEY GUYS! There's less than a day until the next strip gets posted! Until then, I'd love to hear your theories on what the surprise will be! If anyone's here commenting, let me know what you think is going to happen!
i was hoping you could fit that in with your appearence on "Fox and Friends" morning show, the shooting for the Movie they are making with you staring in, and the international book tour you have. ;-)
Thankfully, you dodged the May Day protests. they got kinda violent this time around. people get hurt, buildings get torn up, arrests are made. in general, they rioted and it was not a good thing.
Hey guys, as my mom said below, I'm currently in NYC this weekend exhibiting at a convention. I'll hopefully be able to respond to all of your comments, but during the day I won't be online, so please chat amongst yourselves. I'll probably be dropping in to let you guys know what I'm up to; for example, right now I'm in a taxi driving into Manhattan, typing my comment responses on my phone.
Anyway, that's what's up this week! Hope you guys like the comic and I'll be back to comment soon...
Jar-Jar you say? i should add to that and say BEWARE of people in certain bear suits. if you have been on the 'net long enough, you will know what i am talking about. <_<
I know what you're talking about! Luckily, it was a-okay -- there was next to nobody cosplaying at the event, it doesn't really have that sort of vibe.
Hi everyone:
Emma is at MoCCA in NYC this weekend selling her comics from 10-6pm each day so she may be late with comments. Wish her luck and send her good thoughts!
Anyway, my mom is always saying, "Kids! It's time to go! Stop talking to your friends, we're leaving right now." And then 10 minutes later she's still talking to HER friends.
Oh, I know the feeling in some respects...I'm glad to know you share the same parental frustrations! I have a feeling the comments section on this strip might turn into a "kvetch about our parents" section!
you won't tell us the surprise this week Miss Emma? you have us all up on pins and needles waiting for it Miss Emma. Even I wanted to know what the surprise is!
I really didn't have any Parental Frustrations, but i now know what being TROLLED is from our beloved Miss Emma. And for your efforts, i will give you a Gold Star Miss Emma, and that is a rare thing for anyone to earn off of me. Good Job my dear. >)
Why would I be trolling? I'm just lengthening the buildup for the surprise is all! And it works doesn't it -- are you guys all on the edge of your seats?
Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying the storyline so far! Hee hee...
i called it trolling because i honestly thought you would reveal what the surprise was and you didn't. THAT surprised ME! not many people can do that to me.
At first i thought you were just yanking our chain, but after thinking on it, you are indeed playing out the story line. so Good Job Emma.
Pssh, my mom talk on the phone too long? Noo! (beware the sarcasm) Haha, I think it's just a "mom thing" to spend practically all day on the phone-- especially when you need/want them for something. :P
My mom doesn't actually talk TOO much on the phone, but my dad sure does! His collleagues from work are always calling, I swear, when we're right in the middle of a conversation! Oh parents...must they frustrate us so?
life isn't always about you kiddo. ever thought about it from your parent's point of view? or others? Politeness and Patience are rare virtues these days.
I understand, Taxil! There's no harm in having some good-natured fun at your parents' expense, if underneath you really do understand and appreciate them. :)
check out Emma T Capps new web comic SUNNY,
The League of Fonts
THE LEAGUE OF FONTS is where typefaces are born. Every time a font is created in the world, it manifests as a living, breathing, Font – human for all intents and purposes, but unable to age or die unless their typeface falls into disuse. They live together on the League of Fonts, which serves as a secret island hub, bustling corporation, and home. It’s a world full of its own internal intrigues like any office, and Times New Roman is its powerful CEO. He’s got a lot on his plate lately: planning the League’s famous Decennial party, struggling with modern technology, and hiding his embarrassing addiction to the Twilight movies. Times New Roman is confident he can keep everything under control…but what’s an old font to do when a young boy named Louis Pepping accidentally stumbles onto the secrets of the League?
Find out every Wednesday!

I'm actually kind of flattered I managed to surprise you, it's nice that I was able to do that!
